Professor on a diet. Why have I done this to myself?

Why have I done this to myself?  I am definitely not a person who is addicted to sweet things.

I used to think that out of all sweet thinks I prefer herring in oil. And now? I could assault a bakery in order to steal a doughnut or cake! When will these ketone bodies begin to work?

The concentration of ketone bodies and free fatty acids in my blood is systematically increasing, but by limiting glucose to the level of 180-190g per day I was able to decrease its amount in every meal (and therefore in my blood). My brain doesn’t like this idea and while waiting for the ketone effect it is dreaming about sugar. We will wait this one out – a few more hours and everything will be fine. In the meantime, I will answer the question how to measure proper body weight according to the Hamwi method:

The ideal body mass for men:

48 kg +2.7 kg every 2.54 cm below 152.4 cm

The ideal body mass for women:

45.5 kg + 2.2 kg every 2.54 cm below 152.4 cm

Step by step: measure yourself, from the present height subtract 152,4 cm. Divide the result into 2.54cm parts. The result should be multiplied by 2.7kg (men) or 2.2kg (women). e.g. a woman of 170 cm height weighs 70kg
